Digital Design Engineer
Key Responsibilities / Duties:
- Writing test specifications and updating documentation
- Creation and maintenance of existing tests / UNIT tests / tests in IEC 6-1131
- Analyzing and troubleshooting within complex firmware components
- Supporting and evaluationing/analyzing of our automated test system (“Continuous Integration”)
- Setting up and commissioning new test systems (Industrial equipment)
Qualification Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science or Higher Degree (Technical University) in Automation, Computer Science or related discipline
- 5+ years of professional experience in Control Systems Design and Commissioning, Test and Measurement instrumentation
- The following skills are mandatory:
- PLC Programming (CoDeSys V3 knowledge)
- IEC 6-1131 programming languages (ST, FBD, LD …)
- Python or other scripting language
- The following tools are preferred:
- Jenkins
- TestComplete
- VMware
- GIT, SVN
- Knowledge of communication protocols like Sercos III, EthernetIP, CANopen, Modbus
- Experience in reading and understanding electrical documentation (EPLAN is a plus)
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English, German will be a plus
